A translated campaign is a campaign nobody saw.

Most Australian brands enter China by translating what already worked at home, posting it to a new account, and waiting.

Nothing happens, and the reason is not the words. It is that the account has no audience, the format is wrong for the platform, and the people who might have bought never saw it.

What we’d run for you

The six we’d start with.

Audience & Reach

  • Owned-Audience Distribution

Launch into an audience that already exists, instead of a cold account.

Your campaign publishes into AODABAI’s own network across thirteen channels in Chinese, Vietnamese and English. Every one built from zero, and open for you to look at before you commit anything.

Content Production

  • Social Content Studio

A month of posts out of one production run.

Batch production of short-form video, carousels and stills built to each platform’s own conventions, delivered against a monthly calendar.

  • Live Broadcast

Answer the questions live, in-language, while people are still watching.

Livestream production and hosting on 小红书, 抖音 and the Western platforms. Open days, Q&A sessions and launches, run by a host who speaks the audience’s language.

Campaigns & Media

  • Paid Media

Spend that reaches the person deciding, on the platform they decide on.

Campaign setup, targeting and optimisation across Meta, Google and the Chinese platforms, reported against the targets you set rather than the ones that flatter the campaign.

Platforms & Automation

  • Website Design & Build

A site that loads where your audience is, mainland China included.

Bilingual design and build, including the hosting and font decisions that quietly determine whether a page loads at all inside mainland China.

Strategy & Enablement

  • Market-Entry Strategy

A case for the spend before a camera comes out.

Market sizing, audience research, competitor positioning and message localisation. The same modelling built for the Northern Territory’s international education strategy.

How a month runs

Six steps, every cycle, in the same order. It runs both directions: Australian organisations reaching Asian-language audiences, and Chinese-speaking operators reaching Australia.

  1. Brief Your targets, your markets, your calendar. What a good year looks like in numbers.
  2. Research What people in those markets are searching for, and what your competitors are already saying to them.
  3. Ideate A content slate mapped to how people in that market actually decide, not to how we would decide.
  4. Design Batch filming, bilingual scripting, editing, and formatting built for each platform's own conventions.
  5. Go-live Scheduled publishing across the right channels for each market, with community replies handled.
  6. Evaluate Monthly reporting against the brief, with dated figures and a recommendation for the next cycle.
Straight answers

The questions Australian brands actually ask.

Still unsure after this? Book the call and ask us directly.

We already have a 小红书 account and nothing is happening.

That is the normal outcome of posting translated material to an account with no audience. The content is usually not the problem. We would look at what you have, tell you whether the account is worth continuing, and if it is, what to change first.

Can you just translate the campaign that works for us here?

We would rather not, and this is the thing we differentiate on. Translation moves the words and leaves the format, the platform conventions and the reason someone stops scrolling behind. We rebuild for the platform, in language, from your brief.

Do we need a Chinese business entity to do this?

Not to publish through our channels. Some platform features, paid placement and commerce do require a mainland entity or a partner arrangement, and we will tell you which ones apply to what you are trying to do before you commit to anything.

Can our own marketing team take it over later?

Yes, and the accounts are yours throughout. We also run training for in-house teams, which is a service in its own right rather than something we hold back to keep you dependent.

Send us what you’re running now

We’ll go through your existing channels and record a walkthrough of what we’d change and why. It’s free, it comes back within 2 business days, and there’s no meeting unless you want one.
